The programme is called Örlög, gleði og yndishrúga, which is fate, joy and a heap of gladness. Steinunn Arnbjörg Stefánsdóttir plays cello and Sigrún Magna Þórsteinsdóttir organ and piano. Both come from Akureyri, and most of what they play that afternoon they wrote themselves. Kristín S. Bjarnadóttir, who founded the society Vonarbrú, speaks first about its work with families in Gaza, for which Akureyri gave it a human rights award in the spring. The address and the music run forty to fifty minutes between them, with coffee afterwards in the parish hall. Admission is free and a collection is taken at the door.
