A French Feast: Nýja tríó Reykjavíkur in Ravel and Boulanger
Presented by New Reykjavík Trio

Nýja tríó Reykjavíkur, the New Reykjavík Trio, was founded in 2025 and named after Tríó Reykjavíkur, whose piano trio tradition it means to carry on. Its players are Herdís Mjöll Guðmundsdóttir, violin, Geirþrúður Anna Guðmundsdóttir, cello, and Liam Kaplan, piano, and this is their first concert in Harpa. The programme is Ravel's Duo for violin and cello, two pieces by Lili Boulanger built on the same melody, D'un matin de printemps and D'un soir triste, which she arranged for piano trio herself, and Ravel's Piano Trio in A minor. The concert runs about 75 minutes with an interval.
