The Jónsson, Hemstock, Gröndal Quartet launches a new album

The quartet led by the brothers Ólafur and Þorgrímur Jónsson marks the release of a new album. The music is written by members of the band and grows out of the jazz tradition, pieces built on melody that leave plenty of room for improvisation, and the new record is at the centre of the evening. Two saxophones stand at the front, Ólafur's and Haukur Gröndal's, with Þorgrímur on bass and Matthías MD Hemstock on drums.
