The Cathedral of Reykjavík was consecrated on 1 November 1796, and it marks the 230 years with a concert by its own choir that afternoon. Dómkórinn sings at services in the cathedral, and over the years it has taken on Brahms's German Requiem, Bach's Christmas Oratorio and St John Passion, and Mozart's Requiem. Matthías Harðarson, the cathedral organist, conducts. The programme for the anniversary has not been announced.
