Lára Hrönn Pétursdóttir

A choral conductor who has led Karlakór Kjalnesinga since the autumn of 2023. She learned the organ, the accordion, the guitar and the trombone, played in a wind band, a jazz band, a symphony orchestra and a bell choir when she was younger, and took her eighth grade examinations in classical singing. She has worked with professional choirs and with amateur ones. Away from music she has been a ship's captain, a mate, a deckhand and a cook, on passenger ships, ferries and fishing boats.
