Karlakór Kjalnesinga

A male voice choir founded in 1991 by men from Kjalarnes and Kjós, the country north of Reykjavík. Páll Helgason, one of the founders, conducted it for its first twenty years, from 1991 to 2011, and Lára Hrönn Pétursdóttir has led it since the autumn of 2023. It sang in public for the first time on the island of Viðey in August 1992.
