Sígild jól, a classical Christmas, is given for the tenth time, and Bára Grímsdóttir has written a new carol for the anniversary. Sigríður Ósk Kristjánsdóttir, mezzo-soprano, directs the evening and sings in it, with the soprano Sigrún Hjálmtýsdóttir and the tenor Gissur Páll Gissurarson. Tómas Guðni Eggertsson plays organ and piano, Hjörleifur Valsson violin and Júlía Mogensen cello. The programme is mostly classical and holds Icelandic and foreign carols and hymns, with a little jazz and a few popular songs among them. The church opens half an hour before the music and seating is unreserved. A ticket is 9,800 krónur.
