The Deep – Requiem by Hjálmar H. Ragnarsson is heard for the first time at this concert. It was the last orchestral work he finished, and he died in March 2026. Isabelle Faust plays the violin concerto of the Australian composer Brett Dean, The Lost Art of Letter Writing, which takes its subject from letters.
