Íslenskar jazz perlur: the songs of Jón Múli Árnason

The singer Lydía Rós Björnsdóttir Waage and the pianist Risto Laur perform songs by Jón Múli Árnason, with words by Jónas Árnason, in Hamrar at Hof. For decades Jón Múli worked at RÚV, the national broadcaster, and his was one of the best-known voices on Icelandic radio. Risto Laur was born in Estonia, took a master's degree in classical music there and later turned to jazz. He moved to Iceland in 2010 and is the accompanist at the Akureyri music school. The evening is supported by Verðandi, a fund that helps young artists put on their work at Hof.
