Björn Steinar Sólbergsson: 40 Years at the Organ

Björn Steinar Sólbergsson, organist and director of music at Hallgrímskirkja, marks forty years at the organ, twenty of them at Akureyrarkirkja in the north and twenty at Hallgrímskirkja. The programme is drawn from the music that has stayed with him over those four decades and from his new recording, Icelandic Organ Music, released earlier this year. The concert is the launch of the disc, and it falls on his birthday. Admission is free, and the recording is on sale in the church shop.
