Jónína Björt Gunnarsdóttir sings Christmas songs in Akureyri Church, among them Pie Jesu, Nú finn ég frið og ró and Heims um ból, Sveinbjörn Egilsson's hymn sung to the tune of Silent Night. For years she has given a Christmas concert called Jólaljós og lopasokkar, Christmas lights and woollen socks, and this year she turns to something more solemn. Eyþór Ingi Jónsson plays the piano and directs the music, Jón Þorsteinn Reynisson plays the accordion and Emil Þorri Emilsson percussion. Maja Eir Kristinsdóttir and Guðrún Arngrímsdóttir sing backing vocals. Doors open at half past seven.
