A soprano moves across the water in an enormous dress built from umbrellas, drawn slowly along by two attendants, singing. Victorine Pasman, who conceived the piece and designed the dress, drew on seventeenth century clothing, the flat Dutch landscape, and old stories of mermaids and women washed ashore. When the light goes, the dress begins to glow. She sings on Tjörnin, the pond in the middle of Reykjavík, on 25 October, at Árbæjarlaug Pool on the 26th and at Alftanes Swimming Pool on the 27th.
