Frímúrarakórinn

The Freemasons' Choir of Iceland (Frímúrarakórinn) was founded on 30 January 1993 and sings within the Icelandic Order of Freemasons. Its first public concerts were given at the Freemasons' lodge house in Copenhagen in April 1997 and repeated shortly afterwards at the lodge house in Reykjavík, and since then the choir has given annual spring concerts at the Reykjavík lodge house. Its principal purpose is to sing at the Order's meetings and festivities and to collect the music and poetry composed for performance in the lodges, some of which it has recorded. Its conductor is Friðrik S. Kristinsson.
